Clear Skies Ahead!

Join local and regional astronomers on Friday, September 3 for the 8th annual Iowa Star Party. This free event will kick off at 7:30pm at the Star Field (south of main campground, left on 140th St) with a brief "Astronomy 101" class. As night falls, everyone is welcome to walk around one of the darkest pastures in Iowa for interesting and interactive lessons on observing the night sky. See stars and galaxies close up through powerful telescopes, learn about constellations, and how the night sky changes with the seasons. This event is fun for all ages!
